Dennis John Peyton was born and raised in Wisconsin, where he received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin. He earned a graduate degree in Mexican Corporate and Economic law from La Universidad Panamericana and his law degree from La Universidad Tecnológica de México, both in Mexico City. He is currently licensed to practice law in Mexico and is in good standing, and is an associate member of the American Bar Association. 

 Mr. Peyton lived and worked in Mexico City with a Mexican law firm throughout the 1980's, and spent several years focused on large multinational joint ventures, real estate development, foreign investment in Mexico, as well as Mexican commercial, corporate and business law. This experience has allowed him to gain extensive knowledge and expertise in representing Americans in Mexico. Mr. Peyton is a recognize expert in Mexican law and has been a expert witness in cases in the United States which involve Mexican legal issues. 

Mr. Peyton is the co-author of The Executive's Guide to Doing Business in Mexico and the book, How to Buy Real Estate in Mexico which in now in its second edition. Mr. Peyton is the legal editor of The Baja Sun, Baja California's only English language newspaper. His articles and advice have been published in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times the San Diego Business Journal, the Los Angeles Business Journal, the Baja Explorer, the San Diego Transcript as well the El Financiero International Edition. Mr. Peyton has been a speaker at numerous events sponsored by the Bar Associations in California, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois as well as on various radio and television appearances as an expert on Mexican law.
