The firm's practice includes all aspects of Mexican law and international law while specializing in Mexican real estate and corporate law in its various forms of foreign investment in Mexico. After completing law school in Mexico City, Dennis John Peyton joined a prominent firm in 1985. As an United States Citizen licensed to practice law in Mexico, Mr. Peyton offered the firm a whole new dimension. With his assistance, the firm developed an expertise in serving the special needs of North American investors.

 In 1988, Mr. Peyton opened the Tijuana, Mexico office. The initial purpose was to work with and establish maquiladoras (offshore production plants) in the border region. While continuing the firm's services to maquiladoras, Mr. Peyton became heavily involved in real estate transactions in Mexico. This process was accelerated by the series of changes in Mexico's foreign investment laws, which increasingly made Mexico an attractive investment for foreign investors.

 As the real estate practice grew, the firm began working on tourist developments in Loreto, Manzanillo, Cabo San Lucas, and Puerto Vallarta. Then in succession, offices were opened in Los Cabo, Mexico City and Ixtapa/Zihuantanejo.
